You will find our restaurant Árbol de Montalvo (Tree of Montalvo) in the inner courtyard of Hostal Doña Esther. We're opened from Tuesday till Sunday.
The Ecuadorian writer Juan Montalvo (1832-1889) was an observer of life. To reflect on it, he walked the streets and visited the parks of the many places he lived in, here in Ecuador as well as in other countries. He preferred to sit under a tree to watch the lives of others go by. |

Our restaurant serves Mediterranean food with an Ecuadorian and personal twist; we love to use the typical local ingredients like fruits, herbs or chocolate in our recipes. Besides these delicious and surprising dishes, you can also choose for our famous pizza, traditionally made in a wood-burning oven, that also warms up the restaurant. All our dishes are prepared with products of selected quality, we use organic grown vegetables as well as purified water. |
